Inazuma Eleven: new game in the works, should get an anime series

Today, during a livestream on NicoNico, Level-5 shared some details about the projects to be revealed next month during the Level-5 Vision 2016 conference. Akihiro Hino (CEO) confirmed that a new Inazuma Eleven game was indeed in the works, which is something has has been teasing for a while now.

Unfortunately, there’s not much we know about the game right now. Akihiro Hino confirmed that this new Inazuma Eleven would feature a brand new protagonist. It will also be much more down to earth… literally and figuratively: players are not going to go into space (so no aliens bent on destroying football), and there will be no space travel.

The game will take place in the same “era” as the original Inazuma Eleven trilogy. It looks like a new anime series is also in the works, though nothing concrete was announced. According to Akihiro Hino, this will be the best Inazuma Eleven ever… quite the bold statement!

Here’s some screencaps from the livestream, showing the design of some of the players/characters to appear in the game, some of the areas, and more:

Right now, it’s not clear for which platform this new Inazuma Eleven game is for. Based on previous statements from Akihiro Hino, we can assume it will be for a Nintendo handheld, and most likely mobile too. We should know next month, when the game is revealed during the Level-5 Vision 2016 conference.
