Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley coming out on June 19th in Europe

Last year, Natsume released Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley in North America. Despite being called “Harvest Moon”, it’s not the latest entry in the original series (known as Bokujo Monogatari and published by Marvelous in Japan). It’s a brand new game developed by Natsume, who owns the “Harvest Moon” trademark in the West.

This is the reason why the original Harvest Moon series will be known as “Story of Seasons” in North America and Europe from now on. All the new entries in that series will be called “Story of Seasons”, and the Harvest Moon games published by Natsume won’t have anything to do with the original series. It’s all a bit confusing, but the only thing to remember is: more farming simulations!

And today, Nintendo has announced that Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley (the original game developed by Natsume) would come out on June 19th in Europe. Unfortunately, we don’t know if there will be a retail release or not, or if Nintendo is publishing the game in Europe. No doubt we will be getting more information in the upcoming days.

Here’s the announcement from Nintendo:
