Girls Mode 3: new update available (Ver. 1.2.0), amiibo adapter + new figures compatibility

Girls Mode 3: KiraKira Code is the third entry in the Style Savvy / Nintendo Presents: Style Boutique series. It came out back on April 16th in Japan, and it already got one Software update (in order to fix a bug involving the mannequins). And this week, Nintendo released another update for the game, bringing it to Ver. 1.2.0..

As opposed to Ver. 1.1.0, this new update doesn’t simply fix some glitches, it also brings some new “features”. Here’s the list of additions/changes/fixes for Ver. 1.2.0:

– added compatibility with the Nintendo 3DS NFC Adapter, coming out on July 30th in Japan;
– added compatibility with Yarn Yoshi and Dr. Mario amiibo, which unlock some special items in-game (just like the Mario, Peach, Kirby and Yoshi amiibo);
– fixes the errors encountered in certain modes, such as AR Photo and Photo Studio;
– various changes and fixes meant to improve the gameplay experience.

This update is available since yesterday in Japan. To download it, you have two options:

– touch the game’s incon from the Home Menu, while being connected to the internet. You should be prompted to download it, or check out the update page on the Nintendo eShop;
– go directly to the Nintendo eShop > settings page, and check for updates.

To make sure the update has been downloaded and installed correctly, just launch the game. You should see this at the bottom left corner of the screen:
