Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective – Latest details, videos, and pictures
First released on Nintendo DS back in 2010 (in Japan), Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is getting the HD treatment on Nintendo Switch on June 30th worldwide. And in the months leading to launch, Capcom are planning to share various details, pictures, and videos via social media.
And in this post, you will find all the latest details, pictures, and videos in one place. Naturally, it will be updated as soon as new content is shared, so keep checking back!

During the latest Capcom Showcase, Capcom released a brand new trailer for Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective:
Also, a demo version was released worldwide. It allows you to check out the beginning of the game. If you complete it and then transfer the save data to the full version, you will be able to get the following bonuses: BGM (Ghost Trick), and Background (Sissel / Town).
Finally, here’s some details about another “stage”: Lynne’s Apartment. It’s where Lynne and her best friend, Missile the dog, live. The room has some Christmas decorations, and looks rather peaceful.

- Sissel
Our protagonist who mysteriously lost his life at the start of our story. Now with no memories, he must utilize the powers of the dead to uncover the truth of who he was, and how he met his end!
- Lynne
A rookie detective with a strong sense of justice, she unwillingly becomes the target of hitmen after seemingly witnessing Sissel’s death. Perhaps she holds the key to Sissel’s lost memories?
- Kamila
Kamila is a young girl who spends time living with her faithful dog and listening to music… perhaps too loudly. She seems to have a connection to Lynne, leaving her fate intertwined in our story as well.

Also, we have details about two stages:
- Junkyard: a junkyard located on the outskirts of town where the protagonist, Sissel, was assasinated. The placed in divided in two floors (one above ground, and another underground), both littered with junk. Various items can be possessed and interacted with, including a fan, a fridge, a tire, a bicycle, and even a ladder.
- Luxurious Parlor: a mysterious room with luxurious furniture. There’s not much you can possess and interact with there: only a mysterious device and a phone.

- Ray is a mysterious lamp you get to meet at the very beginning of the game. It tasks you with investigating a mysterious “event” going down that night in town.
- Neersighted Jeego is a hitman with a golden shotgun. Under the orders of a certain someone, he sets out to kill Sissel and Lynne.
- Commander Sith is the person who ordered Neersighted Jeego to assassinate Sissel and Lynne. What are his true intentions?
- Masked Muscleman is the commander of the Yonoa submarine. He’s the one who operates the machines in the Luxurious Parlor.

On Nintendo Switch, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective will include arrangements of all 37 music tracks, but also one brand new track (composed by Masakaru Sugimori, the original composer). You can switch from the original versiond to the arrangements at will!
February 9th
This new version of Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective features high resolution graphics, with a high framate rate. The user interface was also optimised for single-screen play (the original on Nintendo DS was built around dual-screen gameplay). The game has been translated into even more languages, and is now playable in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
This version introduces a “Collection” feature where you can check out various illustrations and music tracks, unlocked as you progress through the game. Players will be able to delve even deeper into the world of Ghost Trick thanks to never-before-seen illustrations, all the while listening to music from iconic scenes.
Also, Capcom brought back the “Ghost Puzzles” introduced in the smartphone port. Those are your run of the mill sliding puzzles, and task you with recreating iconic scenes from the game.
Capcom also introduced some of the characters:
- Sissel: the protagonist of the game, who lost his life in a corner of town. When he died, he gained some mysterious powers, and he uses them to uncover the truth behind his untimely death. He doesn’t have any memories of his past self.
- Lynne: a novice detective brimming with a strong sense of justice. Apparently, she was present when Sissel lost his life. At the beginning of the game, she’s being targeted by an assassin, but Sissel ends up using his powers to save her life.
- Kamila: a girl who spends her days at home (in an apartment) with her best friend, Missile the dog. Due to an unfortunate twist of fate, she ends up involved in a certain incident…
- Missile: a 2 year-old pomeranian who is exceedingly fond of his mistress, Kamila. He loves to bark more than anything. He’s made it his mission to protect his mistress at all costs, and due to a strange twist of fate, he will get up to live up to that mission!
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective (Switch) comes out on June 30th worldwide.
