FuRyu to bring several indie Visual Novels to 3DS, inc. World End Economica

Update: here’s the Famitsu preview:

FuRyu VN***

Thanks to early leaks from Famitsu magazine, we already found about FuRyu’s next project on Nintendo 3DS, and it’s radically different from the others. This new project is in fact a label called Catalyst, for Doujin (indie) Visual Novels that FuRyu is bringing to Nintendo’s handheld.

With this new label, FuRyu plans to bring famous indie Visual Novels to the Nintendo 3DS. It’s not clear if FuRyu is also porting the games themselves, or if they’re simply publishing them.

It looks like Catalyst titles will be released in several waves. The first one will launch on July 27th (next week), and will include the following titles:

  • Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni (by Ryukishi07, creator of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni): 800 Yen
  • The House in Fata Morgana (by Novectacle): 950 Yen
  • World End Economica Episode 1 (by Isuna Hasekura, author of Spice & Wolf): 800 Yen

Unfortunately, we don’t know anything about these games: is there any extra features and/or content? What about a possible released outside Japan (since all three games have been localised already)? At least, Famitsu magazine should give us more details about the games themselves when it comes out, tomorrow (July 21st at 12AM JST)!
