Fire Emblem Fates

You’ve probably seen them if you follow us on Twitter, but today, Nintendo / Intelligent Systems updated their Fire Emblem if Background website earlier today, and posted some new short stories. This time, it focuses on the kids of some of the characters of the game (Kana, Shigure, Velouria and Selkie).

Here they are:

Fire Emblem Fates (3DS) comes out on May 20th in Europe.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was released back in 2005, on GameCube. It’s one of the most beloved entries on the series, and it celebrated its 11th Anniversary on April 20th. To celebrate, Serenes Forest wrote a pretty neat article about the development of the game, based on the Making of Fire Emblem book. You can click here to check it out!

Fire Emblem 0

A few days ago, Intelligent Systems revealed the packaging of the 5th series of Fire Emblem 0 cards. Thanks to Serenes Forest, we now have a good look at the promotional goodies. The box of boosters include:

  • a promo card for Series 6 (not shown yet) [chosen at random]
  • a pack of 5 card sleeves (based on Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn) [chose at random]

  • a promo card, celebrating the 1st Anniversary of Fire Emblem 0. They will be holographic, and feature alternate-art remakes of two different promo cards from Series 1: Marth (originally available in V-Jump magazine,) and Chrom (originally distributed at Cipher demonstration sessions)

What’s more, four sleeve designs will be released alongside Series 5: they feature some of the artworks found on the cards from that series (Roy, Lilina, Micaiah, and Soren). The sleeves themselves will come in packs of 65. Apparently, the artworks for Roy and Micaiah have already been used for other promotional materials, but not the ones for Lilian and Soren (which are brand new, and will most likely be used on future cards).

The 5th series of Fire Emblem cards launches on June 23rd in Japan.
