Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright & Conquest – E3 trailer and screenshots

Today, during the Nintendo Digital Event, Nintendo showcased the latest Fire Emblem game on Nintendo 3DS, called Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright & Conquest. Since the game is coming out next week in Japan, nothing really new was announced. However, we have confirmation the game will also get two different versions in the West: they will be called Birthright and Conquest (at least, in Europe).

Here’s the main features of the game:

  • For the first time in the series, the player plays as the main character and commands his or her own army. The player character is customizable avatar, like in the Fire Emblem Awakening game. Select male or female with many options.
  • During the game, the player must make the choice between Hoshido and Nohr. Each path will offer a completely different storyline with a different set of characters to recruit as allies.
  • The Hoshido path is a more traditional path as you work together with your allies to fend off Nohrian invaders.
  • The Nohr path will force you to revolutionize an unruly kingdom from the inside – this path offers a slightly more complex story and will be more challenging.

Here’s the E3 trailer and some screenshots/artworks for the game:

Fire Emblem Fates Birthright & Conquest (3DS) comes out on June 25th in Japan, and next year in Europe and North America.
