FAIRY TAIL 2 – Ver. 1.4.1

Release date: March 12th/13th 2025
Patch notes:

Fixed a bug making it impossible to progress under certain conditions.

Fixed a bug which caused a certain additional character to join the party at a lower level.

Extended the maximum Origin Rank to 150.

A new Origin Tree has been added.

Additional equipment slot for Lacrima has been added.

Additional difficulty “FIRED UP!” has been added.

Added a replay function for already seen “Fairy Tail Diaries.”

Additional Encounter Quests for Sting, Rogue, Ichiya, and Sherria.

Additional opponents have been added to the additional content, “Arena.”

Fixed visual bugs affecting some animations and UI.

Made other minor adjustments and fixed other minor bugs.

Known issues:

Applying the Ver.1.4.1 update will cause the still image “Irreplaceable Friends” to be locked in the Main Album (accessible via Memories under Database).

Note: We plan to fix this issue with our future update, where the locked still image will be unlocked once you rewatch the ending by defeating “Dragon King Acnologia” at “Mamu Ruins.”

FAIRY TAIL 2 – Ver. 1.3.1

Additional Encounter Quests for Lisanna, Elfman, Cana, and Levy.

Additional opponents have been added to the additional content, “Arena.”

Fixed visual bugs affecting some animations and UI.

Made other minor adjustments and fixed other minor bugs.

Known issues:

Applying the additional player character: Jellal (available from February 13th, 2025) to a saved data from Ver.1.2.0 with certain quests in progress will cause Jellal to join your party at a lower level.

Certain quests where this issue will occur:

Bonus Ch. 3 Undercover

Bonus Ch. 3 Undercover … Again

Bonus Ch. 4 A Night to Celebrate!

After loading the story completed data and while selecting the couple to go in Restaurant Love Ballad

Workaround:

Please prepare a saved data with the quests above not in progress, and then apply the additional character Jellal and load the prepared saved data. If this problem has already occurred, updating the game to Ver.1.4.0 will adjust Jellal’s level.

Fixed a bug making it impossible to progress after opening Team Info at a certain point during the boss battle in chapter 1.

Fixed a bug making it impossible to progress after skipping a certain event at a certain point in chapter 5.

Fixed a bug causing buff/debuff effects to duplicate or preventing them from working properly.

Fixed a bug that increased loading time exponentially under certain conditions.

Fixed a bug making it impossible to progress after being defeated by the boss in chapter 11.

Known issues:

Certain actions in the Mamu Ruins sometimes cause the PC to fall through the ground.

Workaround: Using Fast Travel to go to another area will resolve the issue. There are plans to fix this bug in the near future.

How to download updates for FAIRY TAIL 2 for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for FAIRY TAIL 2, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
