Extinction Eclipse (space RTS) to kick off exploration of the Nintendo Switch system next week

TuanisApps (an indie studio from Costa Rica) have announced that Extinction Eclipse, their space-themed RTS, will launch next week in Europe and North America. It will be available from November 17th in both regions, and will cost 14.99€/ £13.49 / $14.99 (with a 20% off discount at launch, allowing you to grab it for $11.99 instead).

In this game, Earth is getting colder. Aliens are using their technology to block the sun’s rays and preventing them from reaching the planet. Humanity has no choice but to unite, and then send their best pilots against to ensure Earth doesn’t became nothing more than a vast expanse of ice.

In Extinction Eclipse, the Earth is getting colder, the climate is changing and we may be doomed for extinction, as a Hexagonal grid of  alien technology is blocking the sun’s rays from reaching our Earth, plunging our planet into a race against time – freeze or survive.

Humanity is left with a single choice, to unite as one planet, gather our best pilots, build a fleet of combat spaceships, save our world from the enemies by destroying their technology and teaching those aliens a lesson!

With a detailed campaign mode, multiple story lines and procedurally generated maps, each campaign is unique to the commander who accepts our mission to save the planet!

• Gather resources like metal and water from asteroids to build and upgrade your fleet.
• Expand your territory using space stations, communication satellites, research centers and resource deposits.  
• Defend your base from alien attacks, using automated defense systems or enter into action-packed skirmishes using a variety of battleships
• Manage your resources during these engagements, or strap in and explore asteroid fields mid combat to resupply your fleet.

For intense space battles, rescue missions and to jump straight into the action, Skirmish Mode promises endless fun, where players let their guns loose against the aliens!

• Survive: Your bases are under heavy fire, your resources are limited and the whole mission is on the verge of destruction. Protect your bases and ensure they can survive waves of attacks for 15 minutes.
• Bases Hunt: Hunt down the Harvester Mother creatures across space. These creatures are the ones manufacturing the hexagons, so destroying them is critical to achieve victory. Please note: Harvester Mothers are incredibly powerful and can cause severe damage.
• Annihilation: Search and destroy every single enemy in space, no matter how big or small: eradicate aliens entirely from the solar system and show no mercy.
• Mine and chill: A casual and relaxed match type for those who prefer to explore and expand without too much worry (only occasional skirmishes with a few enemies around the world). See your bases grow and expand on the map!
