Europe: video games sales for Week 39 (UK) / Week 38 (France), more

United Kingdom (Week 39)

For Week 39, the only entry on Nintendo platforms is Super Mario 3D World, and more precisely its Nintendo Selects edition. Unfortunately, it landed at #29, which is nothing to write home about (but then again, we’re talking about a budget re-release). It’s the only Wii U game in the Top 40, and therefore the best-selling game on that platform.

As for New Super Mario Bros. 2, it lost 5 places, and is ranked #27 for Week 39. It’s also the best-selling game for the Nintendo 3DS, as the other two in the Top 40 are about to leave it: Pokémon Omega Ruby is ranked #39 (- 11 places at once), and Tomodachi Life is ranked #40 (- 11 places at once). Both will most likely be gone from the Top 40 by next week at this rate…

France video games sales (Week 38)

After a pretty good start, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past held pretty well during its second week on the market and remains in the Top 5. Naturally, it’s still the best-selling games on Nintendo 3DS, followed by Yo-kai Watch. On Wii U, Minecraft: Wii U Edition is back at the top this week.
