Europe: the Nintendo Online Store (re)launched today

Nintendo Online StoreA few years ago, Nintendo opened an official store in the United Kingdom. It allows fans to get various games for Nintendo platforms (pretty interesting for Limited Editions), but also (and more importantly) plenty of goodies, including many which cannot be found anywhere else. Unfortunately, the store only ships to the United Kingdom, so if you live in France or Germany, the store is useless for you (unless you go through a proxy).

Good news: Nintendo just opened (or rather, relaunched) the Nintendo Online Store in several European countries:

  • Germany
  • France
  • Italy
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Belgium
  • Netherlands

On this store, you can find plenty of goodies (but no games), such as:

  • clothing items
  • misc. goodies (key rings, wallets, etc.)
  • Toys and plushies
  • (horribly overpriced) accessories, such as SD cards and AC Adapters [this is the only category of items previously available on the Nintendo Online Store)

Some things to note if you want to place an order: you can only do so if you are least 18 years old, and live in one of the aforementioned countries (+ the United Kingdom, despite that country having its own store). You can only buy things using a credit card, and you need to pay everything at once. Shipping costs are 4,80€ per order (£3,90 in the United Kingdom). It looks like all orders are shipped from Germany, and are delivered within 14 business days.

Unfortunately, we don’t know if/when Nintendo will open a Nintendo Online Store in other countries.
