During the presentation, it was announced that Dragon Quest X would launch on September 21st in Japan, where it will cost 4 800 Yen + taxes. Naturally, it’s the All-in-One Package (with Ver. 1, 2, and 3 on the same cartridge) that will be released, with Ver. 4 following for all platforms a few weeks later.

As explained in this post, Square-Enix will have a special upgrade offer for Wii owners, who will be able to get the download version of the game for free. Players will be able to use the same character on all platforms, though that’s not really new or exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version.

As for the montly fee, it will be between 1 000 Yen and 1 500 Yen on Nintendo Switch, allowing you to have between 3 and 5 characters slots.

Finally, Square-Enix announced that there would be a beta test period, running from July 19th to August 10th.

Dragon Quest X (Switch) will be released on September 21st in Japan. The Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
