DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 3 Scarlet announced for the Nintendo Switch

Last weekend, during the Dead or Alive Festival 2018, Koei-Tecmo announced that the Dead or Alive series is headed to the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately for fighting game fans, it’s not the main series (though there’s no doubt it will also come, at a later date), but the “Xtreme” spin-off series. Introducing DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 3 Scarlet, releasing on Nintendo Switch on March 20th in Japan!

This game is based on DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 3, and features some additional characters, including Misaki from DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme Venus Vacation. There’s 11 playable characters in total.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game will feature an enhanced version of the series’ infamous “Soft Engine”, called “Soft 4D” that combined the physics with HD Rumble (with different vibrations on the left and right Joy-Cons).

The game will also feature various changes to improve the gameplay experience: the developers made it easier to raise the own level, made adjustments to storage, and more.

DEAD OR ALIVE Xtreme 3 Scarlet will be available in several editions:

Regular Edition

• Price: 12 800 Yen + taxes
