Skylanders

During yesterday’s fiscal call, it was announced that no new Skylanders game would be released this year. One might think that poor sales for Skylanders Imaginators led Activision to simply kill the series altogether, but it’s not quite the case. The publisher has simply decided to keep releasing new packs for Skylanders Imaginators instead (at least, for the time being).

It’s clear that waning sales were a sign Acitivision had to change its business model regarding Skylanders (no more annual releases), as the popularity of the Netflix series proves the series itself is still quite popular.
