Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion – Dev Diary
This September, Marvelous will release Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion (the second entry in its Daemon X Machina series) on Nintendo Switch 2.
And ahead of that release, Marvelous has shared a Dev Diary video for the game, featuring Kenichiro Tsukuda (Producer). In this video, he talks about his inspirations for the first game, the team’s approach for the second game, and more.
Here’s the Dev Diary video:
The developer documentary features Daemon X Machina Series Producer Kenichiro Tsukuda, who discusses topics ranging from his experiences with mecha and robots early in his game development career to his inspiration for creating the original DAEMON X MACHINA game in orderto bring the sci-fi mech genre to Nintendo Switch™.
Tsukuda-san shares additional insights into the development team’s approach to Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, including the evolution of in-game technology and how it’s expressed in gameplay, the exploration of humans interacting with technology through the story and world, and their exhaustive efforts to find the fun in every moment of gameplay.
The conversation also explores how the development team is utilizing the latest tools and technology themselves to improve the game, such as leveraging 3D printing technology to get a fresh perspective on armor designs beyond a 2D screen, ensuring each piece of equipment is unique and, just as importantly, “cool.”
