What’s the New Mode “Mini-Game”?

Players select a single unit and navigate a grid-based map, engaging in battles, upgrading, and making critical decisions. Your route and deck-building choices within limited turns will determine your success against the boss!

You can select “Mini-Game” from the title screen, and it’s accessible even to new players.

1. Quick, Yet Deep Gameplay!

Each game session takes about 20 minutes. Fight enemies, level up your unit, and collect powerful cards to build a unique deck. Enjoy strategic growth and deck-building even in short play sessions!

2. Freely Explore Tactical Maps

Move freely around the map in any direction. Will you avoid enemies to gather equipment or confront them head-on to level up? Each decision you make significantly impacts your survival and success within limited turns.

3. Growth Cycle: Stronger with Every Attempt

Even if defeated, you retain one card and one equipment item for your next attempt, allowing continuous improvement. Gradually develop your unit and construct the ultimate deck for your next challenge

How to Play the New Mode

1. Select Your Unit

Each character has unique initial decks and abilities. Choose the one that best suits your strategic style.

2. Explore the Map

Move around the map turn by turn, engage in battles, events, and card collection to prepare for the boss encounter.

3. Prepare for the Boss Within Limited Turns

Choose when to engage the boss—early or after maximum preparation. It’s entirely up to your strategy.

4. Defeat the Boss and Advance

Victory unlocks the next difficulty level. Even in defeat, you carry forward one card and one equipment, letting you try again with an improved setup!

You can now save your progress while playing a stage.

There are two types of saves: auto save and manual save.

Auto save occurs at the end of each phase within the field.

Manual save can be performed from the settings menu.

Additionally, you can load your saved data from the settings menu, allowing you to return to any save point and continue playing.

You can now choose between two deck-building styles: “Shared Deck / Individual Deck.”

Each unit has its own deck and progresses through the stages.

In battles, units can use the cards they possess to fight.

Additionally, the deck can give units their own unique characteristics.

This is recommended for those who want to enjoy a deeper strategic element in deck building!

You can change your cards from the card list before starting a stage.

Card Transfer Function Between Units

In the stage preparation screen, you can exchange cards between units.

Create unique characteristics for your units with the decks and take on the stages!

During stage play, you can pass one card at a time to adjacent units with each action. Utilize this effectively to progress strategically in battles!

This feature is available only in “Individual Deck Building.”

Added Text Size Option

Go to Settings > Text Size to change the value.

5 is the largest size. Adjust to your preferred size.

The default value is 2 (same size as before).

Not all text areas will change size.

Addition of Voltage Tutorial

A tutorial related to voltage has been added.

The tutorial can be accessed from Settings > Help.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where the phase could not be ended.

Fixed a bug where the camera sometimes did not follow the cursor on the field screen.

How to download updates for C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
