Attack on Titan: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu – More screens, video clips

Tomorrow, the first episode of the second season of the Attack on Titan anime series is airing in Japan (and simulcasting websites). Naturally, Koei-Tecmo is using that as an opportunity to further promote Attack on Titan: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu, their adventure game based on the series (and developed by Ruby Party).

Today, the company shared some more screenshots for the game, without revealing anything really new. The first two screenshots show some titans, which are roaming the old castle you and your squad members end up at the beginning of the game. As you can imagine, those titans are certainly not going to make escaping alive any easier… quite the opposite!

If you make the wrong decision, or get hit by a titan, then the “despair gauge” fills up. The more desperate you are, the harder it is for you to make decisions calmy, which never ends well… it may actually ends up in your death. The protagonist can actually sense nearby titans, as seen in one of the screenshots below (with the “bloody vision”).

You sometime need to take some decision in a critical situation: a timer appears on the screen, and you have to make a choice within the time limit.

By repeatedly discussing with the other characters, you can deepen your bond with them. It’s actually pretty important to do so, as it prevents from giving in to despair during critical situations. For your bond to deepen, you need to make the right choices during conversations.

Koei-Tecmo reminds us that Attack on Titan: Shichi Kara no Dasshutsu features various illustrations by WIT Studio, the animation studio working on the Attack on Titan anime series. There’s also plenty of event scenes, which are brand new and not found in the manga/anime (not surprising, since this is an original story).

Next, here’s the latest video clips:

Finally, here’s the latest batch of screenshots:
