Arcade Archives The Genji and the Heike Clans releasing this week on Nintendo Switch

Hamster have announced their latest Arcade Archives release on Nintendo Switch: The Genji and the Heike Clans. It’s a side-scrolling hack ‘n slash originally developed and released on Arcade by Namco back in 1986 in Japan. The Arcade Archives release will launch on October 7th worldwide, and as usual, it will cost 6.99€ / £6.29 / $7.99 / 838 Yen. The Japanese version will offer an English language option.

“The Genji and the Heike Clans” is an action game released by NAMCO in 1986.

Players control the hero Taira no Kagekiyo on a mission to the capital city of Kamakura, to defeat the Demon Genji Clan’s king Yoritomo. The player will face attacks by Genji Clan soldiers like Yoshitsune and Benkei along the way to Kamakura. Defeat all challengers and gather the Three Sacred Treasures to defeat Yoritomo.
