Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer to include various skin tones

One of the biggest complain about Animal Crossing: New Leaf wasn’t about the gameplay itself but rather an unfortunate omission. In this game, you can only pick up a more-or-less pale skin tone, which means that you can’t have your avatar look like you if your skin is black for example. There was an alternative (tanning), but it really wasn’t satisfactory.

But good news: this problem won’t be in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. On Twitter, Alison Rapp (from Nintendo Treehouse) confirmed that the game would include a skin tone option, allowing you to change the tone of your skin at will. Whether your skin is pearly white or ivory black, or something in-between, you will be able to pick up which ever skin tone you want.
