Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice: latest English trailer showcases Maya Fey, Athena Cykes

Today is the second day of AnimeExpo, and Capcom held a panel about Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice with Motohide Eshiro (Producer) and Janet Hsu (Localisation Producer). There, they revealed “new” details about the game, and even a brand new trailer in English.

Let’s start right away with the new trailer:

As revealed several months ago, Maya Fey is back in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. She went to the Kingdom of Khura’in in order to complete her training, but as you can imagine, something will go wrong… after all, some things never change!

The trailer above also showcases Athena Cykes, the new lawyer/assistant introduced in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies. In this game, she will also use the Mood Matrix to analyse the emotions of people, thanks to Widget (a small robot).

Finally, we have Nahyuta Sahdmadhi, the main prosecutor of the game. He’s described as a deeply religious and peaceful-looking monk, who somehow got a licence to practice laws in several countries (not just the Kingdom of Khura’in). He’s also known as the Last Rites Prosecutor, who sees putting the soul of the recently departed at rest as part of his duties.

He has a strong rivalry with defense attorneys, and despite his serene appearance, Nahyuta is also knows for his sharp tongue.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice (3DS eShop) comes out in September in the west.
