24 New Yukkuri Have Joined the Mountain!

24 brand-new characters have joined as Yukkuri! New banter between Reimu and Marisa has also been added, so be sure to check it out!

Combined with the existing roster, you can now build your ultimate “Yukkuri Mountain” with a total of 54 different Yukkuri.

New Shop Yukkuri

The following 21 types of Yukkuri will be added to the shop:

Akyuu: Unlock by purchasing all 21 new Yukkuri added to the shop.

※ Kourin (existing bonus character): As before, unlock by purchasing all 18 existing Yukkuri available in the shop.

Yukkuri Order Set Feature Expanded

You can now save and load custom Yukkuri order sets!

This update also includes two new preset “Recommended Sets”:

Embodiment of Scarlet Devil Set
Perfect Cherry Blossom Set

※ Sets containing Yukkuri you don’t own will not be displayed.

Voiced Dialogue Subtitles Added

Playing in a language other than Japanese? Subtitles for Reimu and Marisa’s voiced commentary will now be displayed during solo play!

Supported languages: English / Chinese (Simplified) / Chinese (Traditional)

Now everyone playing in a language other than Japanese can enjoy their lively banter too!

CPU Opponents Added to Multiplayer

You can now enjoy the feel of multiplayer even on your own! Whether you want to try out multiplayer or get some practice in, CPU opponents are a great way to get started.

Controller Vibration on Turn Change in Multiplayer

When it’s your turn in Multiplayer mode, your controller will now vibrate to let you know. It’s now easier than ever to feel when your turn has arrived. Only applies to controllers with vibration support.

Partial Graphics Optimization

Improvements have been made to the rendering of certain visual elements.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where the total points earned would display as a negative value after exceeding a certain amount. Several other minor bugs have also been fixed.

How to download updates for Touhou Yukkuri Mountain on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2?

To download the updates for Touhou Yukkuri Mountain, you have three options:

let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
