Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe: more details (Copy Abilities, Sub-Games, more) and footage

During the latest Nintendo Direct back in September, Nintendo announced that yet another Kirby game was on the way: Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe. It’s an enhanced version of the Wii game, featuring some additional content.

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe features a total of 26 Copy Abilities, and 5 Super Abilities. Here’s some footage of those:

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe introduces two new Copy Abilities:

  • Mecha: allows you to attack with iron fists and the two cannons on your back, which means you can deal with enemies at pretty much any range. Also, you can fly freely in the air!
  • Sand: allows you to manipulate sand at will. You can attack with sand blasts or with fists of sand. You can also hide in the sand to protect yourself from attacks, and make sand structures!

There’s also one “new” Copy Ability, which comes from Kirby Star Allies:

  • Festival

Naturally, all 23 Copy Abilities from the original are back:

Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe also introduces a new mode called Magolor Land. It’s a theme park where you will find various Sub-Games you can play with up to 4 players. The two returning Sub-Games from the original version of the game are back, and come with 8 new ones.

Here’s footage of all the Sub-Games:

By playing the various Sub-Games, you will be able to collect Stamps in the Stamp Rally. Collect enough of those, and you will be rewarded with prizes like masks based on characters from previous Kirby games. You can wear those masks during the main game!
