7th Dragon III code:VFD gets a new trailer and two videos

7th Dragon IIIDespite its name, 7th Dragon III code:VFD is actually the fourth entry in the 7th Dragon III, and the first one to come out on a Nintendo platform since the original, back in 2009. It will  be one of the games playable on SEGA’s booth at the Tokyo Games Show 2015 (on September 17-20), and players trying out the game will be able to get clear files as a present.

There will also be some goodies on sale:

And with the release date drawing near, SEGA is intensifying its promotion for the game. Today, the company revealed not one, not two, but three new videos for 7th Dragon III code:VFD.

The first one is a new trailer, which starts by showing some story cutscenes, and mentioning the three different eras the game takes place in (Past, Present, Future). Then, we get another look at Character Making, with the 8 different professions, the 40 voices (male and female), and more. When exploring dungeons, you can have a party of 9 characters, made up of:

  • 1 main unit (3 characters)
  • 2 support units (3 characters each)

The trailer also shows the dreaded dragons: powerful enemies that you can see in the dungeons (regular enemies are encountered randomly). In-between dungeon explorations, you can go take on some quests, but also have the characters go on dates.
