Super Mario Run: latest content updates and events

Super Mario Run

Just like Miitomo, it looks like Nintendo is planning to regularly add new content to Super Mario Run (only buildings for Kingdom Builder so far), along with events. Therefore, we’re creating this post, in order to gather all content updates and events for the game.

It’s not clear how often Nintendo plans on adding new content and events, but once we’ve figured out the release pattern for it, we will decide whether to make this post monthly, quarterly, etc.

Current Events

  • [Event] Play Every Day event (runs for two weeks): allows you to get various in-game goodies as log-in bonus every day (such as coins, Rally Tickets, special buildings, and more). You can check out the schedule below! (until April 7th)
  • [Event] The Gold Goombas Mega Event is now live, until April 13th. Just like the first time around, there are Gold Goombas to be found in the World Tour levels, and defeating them allows you to get coins and stamps. Said stamps go on Stamp Cards, which gives you various goodies when completed: Dandelion (Card 1), Pirahna Plant Statue (Card 2), Dandelion Trio (Card 3), and Cherry Blossom Tree (Card 4)
  • [Shop] Some new fireworks cannon are now available in the Store, until April 24th

March 9th

Today, a new event for Super Mario Run went live.

That event is called Loads of Coins, and it will run until March 22nd. During that period, if you win at Toad Rally, then you will get 1.5 times the usual amount of coins. Unfortunately, if you happen to lose, you will still get the usual amount of coins, but at least you will not lose more Toads. Also, do note you need to complete the Kingdom Builder tutorial before being able to take part in this event.

February 16th

Today, a new event for Super Mario Run (and more specifically the Friendly Run feature) went live.

This second run of the Friendly Run Event is live until March 2nd, and allows you to get Rally Tickets simply by playing Friendly Run during the event. The good news is, you get some whether you win or lose. Playing every day allows you to rack up Rally Tickets like crazy, making sure you never run out of tickets.

You can play only once if you haven’t cleared World 1, three times if you have cleared it World 1, and up to five times if you have cleared World 5.

February 3rd

Today, a special event celebrating the release of Fire Emblem Heroes went live. Since it was released on February 2nd, Nintendo decided to give all Super Mario Run player 2 222 coins as gift (that will be sent to the Gift Box as a single reward). The notification doesn’t specify when the gift will expire.
