Monster Hunter X: a collaboration with Yu-Gi-Oh!

Monster Hunter X

If you’ve been following the Monster Hunter series for a while, you already know that third-party collaborations (with special armour/palico in-game) are nothing new. In fact, each game in the series gets several of them, covering a wide range of IPs: from very Japanese-centric mascots (like Gudetama) to worldwide franchises (like The Legend of Zelda).

Capcom already announced several of them for Monster Hunter X: Star Fox, Fairy Tail, Yowamushi Pedal, and more. And it looks like the company isn’t quite done, as one more will be revealed in V-Jump magazine this week. This time, it’s the Yu-Gi-Oh! series which is getting its own collaboration: players will be able to get a special armour for their Palico, based on the Dark Magician.

As usual, they will have to complete an Event Quest in order to get the materials necessary to make this special costume. Here’s a scan:

Unfortunately, we don’t know if this costume will be kept in the game if Monster Hunter X ever gets a western release.

Monster Hunter X (3DS) comes out on November 28th in Japan.
