Genei Ibun Roku #FE

Last week, Famitsu published an article about Genei Ibun Roku #FE, which features an interview with several key people from the development team:

– Hitoshi Yamagi (Nintendo, Producer)
– Shinjiro Takada (Atlus, Producer)
– Kaori Andou (Nintendo, Director)
– Eiji Ishida (Atlus, Director)
– Wataru Hirata (Atlus, Chief Director)
– Fumitaka Yano (Atlus, Art Director)

The interview is now available online, complete with some pictures and some additional details. First, we get a look at the GamePad screen, which can display various things:

– Main Story: a chat app à la LINE (a popular chat app for smartphones in Japan), complete with the infamous stickers;
– a map
– details about the players (not pictured)
– an additional option, which is greyed out

The Famitsu article also reveals some additional details about the game, starting with the name of some of the staff members:

– Chra-design: toi8
– Mirage design: CyDesignation (Shingeki no Bahamut), Hideo Minaba (Final Fantasy XI) and more
– Music Production and choregraphy: avex group
– Music: Fujisawa Yoshiaki (LoveLive!)
– Animation: Anima (LoveLive!), STUDIO4°C (Catherine)

In the interview, the developers explain that the # in the title is, of course, the musical symbol: it’s meant to symbolise the fact that Genei Ibun Roku#FE is more than just a collaboration title. As for why the title is slightly inclined, it’s because the game will allow fans to view the Fire Emblem series in a different angle.

The developers also confirms that one of the aspects of many Atlus RPGs, which rewards the player for taking advantage of enemy’s weaknesses, is indeed in the game (along with an option allowing you to set the difficulty). They also talked about the “Carnage Form” that the playable characters take when they merge with their Mirage.

One of the most striking parts of the game is definitely the “Live” performances, which are rather impressive 3D animations done via motion-capture (by Anima), with choregraphy and music by the avex group. As for the Vocaloid song used in the second trailer, it’s called “Beastie Game”, by Tiki (one of the characters).

Here’s the new images for the game:
