The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses

The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses tour is something that debuted to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Legend of Zelda series, back in 2011. Fastforward 6 years later, and the tour is still going strong… in fact, plenty of new dates for 2017 were announced a couple of weeks ago, with a new program to boot.

If you’ve been dying to get your hands on a CD, it looks like your wish is about to come true. In an interview with Attack of the Fanboy, Jason Michael Paul (Producer) revealed that there will be an announcement for such a CD soon:

AotFB: There have been a few CD releases of Zelda music before, but there hasn’t been an official CD or digital release from the Symphony of the Goddesses. Are there any plans for this?

JMP: Yes, this news will be released soon. We will begin with a pre-order at www.zelda-symphony.com

Unfortunately, it’s not clear how soon that “soon” is. Is he referring today’s Nintendo Direct presentation (which wasn’t announced back when this interview was conducted)? E3 2017?

In the interview, Jason Michael Paul also discusses what the early days of the tour were, how the initial songs were chosen, what prompted initial discussions with Nintendo, possible symphony tour for other Nintendo franchises, and more. Click here to check out the full interview!

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

In order to promote The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo of America went and painted a really impressive mural in Brooklyn. It features the very same key artwork that’s used on the North American and Japanese boxart. But that’s not all, there’s also a nice twist: during the night, the mural glows (which is something you cannot see during the day).

Here’s a couple of pictures of that mural:

This is not the first time Nintendo: Nintendo also made one for the 30th Anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. series last year, in London.
