Valkyria Chronicles 4: demo and digital pre-orders now live
Valkyria Chronicles 4 doesn’t come out in Europe and North America before the end of September, but just like The World Ends With You -Final Remix- (which comes out two weeks later), it’s now available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop.
If you pre-order the game, you can get the same “A Captainless Squad” DLC mission:
In this side mission, a group of Squad E soldiers find themselves on an impromptu reconnaissance operation after the squad’s beloved medic dog, Ragnarok, goes missing.
If you pre-purchase the game (digitally or at retail), then you get the side-mission immediately at launch (though you first have to reach Chapter 10 in the main story before you can play it). It will be released as stand-alone DLC from late October, and for 4.99€ / $4.99.

But that’s not all! A free demo is now available from the Nintendo eShop (or you can use the same links above). It lets you play through the prologue and the first two chapters of the game, but also a bonus mission created just for the demo. The best part? You can transfer your save data to the full game, and thefore keep your progress, items obtained, class levels, earned experience, and currency total! What’s more, transferring save data from the demo will also net you an exclusive accessory!
Valkyria Chronicles 4 (Switch) comes out on September 25th in Europe and North America, and September 27th in Japan. The Upcoming Games page has been updated!
