Taiko Drum Master Nintendo Switch Version: release date, trailer, Splatoon and Kirby characters

Today, Bandai-Namco announced that Taiko Drum Master Nintendo Switch Version will be released on July 19th in Japan. Here’s the latest trailer for it:

The company also revealed that the game would feature various performers, with their own set of skills. There will even be some special characters, including the Inkling (Squid Form) or Kirby. The former makes it easier for you to beat a songs (handy if you’re struggling with a particular hard song).  Two mini-games have also been revealed: Minna de Bon Odori (a festival dance mini-game) and Home Run Batter (baseball).

Here’s various screenshots for the game:

Also, on the same day, Bandai-Namco will release a new version of their drum controller. It’s more or less the same thing as the one released for the PlayStation 4 last year, but with some differences: the edge part of the controller is more flexible, the sensors have been improved, and you can place two water bottles at the back to prevent the controller from moving when using it.

Here’s pictures of the controller, that will cost 6 980 Yen + taxes:
