Today, Nintendo shared the following:
- a video clip of Mario running. Mario spreads his arms when he runs, and when he’s going downhill (literally), he goes faster than usual. He also tilts left or right, depending on the inclination of the control stick.
基本アクション「はしる」。下り坂では加速して、手を広げて走るんです。スティックの傾きに合わせてマリオも傾きますよ。 pic.twitter.com/EgTfImcOaw

Over the past couple of days, Nintendo shared the following:
- a video clip showing The Odyssey taking off. As you probably guessed, the propellers at the bottom are fueled by the Power Moons, and they help stabilise the ship when it takes off.

- a screenshot of a “Lydon · Bus”, that you can use as means of transportation in the Sand Kingdom. You need to use some coins to ride it, but once you’re on its back, you’re free to make it run around at full speed, allowing you to explore the desert in a swift and absolutely awesome way. What is more awesome than a gold lion-shaped vehicle, after all?

Today, Nintendo finally revealed the official English name of the bird/cook revealed a few days ago by the Japanese Twitter account: it’s Cookatiel!

Today, Nintendo shared the following:
- a screenshot of what Nintendo calls “Local Coins”… basically, the local currency only found in a given Kingdom. The screenshot shows the local coins found in the Sand Kingdom, which are shaped like pyramids. As you can imagine, the design is different in each Kingdom;
- screenshots showing some of the souvenirs you can buy to decorate the interior of The Odyssey. Those souvenirs can be bought using the very Local Coins you get in each Kingdom, from the local Crazy Cap shops (that do not sell only clothes). You can also buy stickers (similar to those found on the suitcase of globetrotters), to put on the outside of The Odyssey.

Today, Nintendo shared the following:
- a video clip that shows Mario can capture more than just enemies… He can also capture various things such as poles, that he can use to reach higher places for example.

Yesterday, and today, Nintendo shared the following:
- a screenshot of a character called “Cock Tori” in Japanese (presumably, a double pun on cook / cock). As you can imagine, it just looooves food and cooking, and it looks like it’s been really busy with preparations for Bowser’s wedding!
- an artwork for a Capture Lava Bubble (yup, Mario can also capture them!). By capturing one, Mario gets the ability to walk (or rather, jump) on lava;
- a video clip of Mario jumping around in lava, as a Captured Lava Bubble. If you shake the Joy-Con, you can move around more quickly.
熱い溶岩の上もすいすい自由に移動できちゃいます。Joy-Conを振ると、水切りのように水面を素早く移動することもできるんですよ! pic.twitter.com/dBMJj9Q48T

Today, Nintendo shared the following:
- a video clip of The Odyssey’s exhaust pipe. which is 100% eco-friendly (which does make sense, since the ship itself is powered by Power Moons, not any sort of “regular” fuel). Oh, and it looks like this exhaust pipe has some other uses…
おはようございます。
これはオデッセイ号の煙突。クリーンなガスを排出して動くので、とても環境にやさしいんです。そうそう、他にも便利な使い方があるんですよ!煙突と言えば…。 pic.twitter.com/6nm76T5Pvs— スーパーマリオ オデッセイ (@mario_odysseyJP) July 9, 2017

Today, Nintendo shared the following:
- an artwork of a Captured Hammer Bros.. They’re pretty useful when you want to attack from a distance!
- a video clip of Mario capturing a Hammer Bros.. It looks like they throw frying pans instead of hammers, this time around… though one still has to wonder where they’re keeping all those frying pans (that must be some pretty deep pockets!… wait, do Hammer Bros. even have pockets?!). If you shake the Joy-Con quickly, you can throw frying pans faster.

Today, Nintendo shared the following:
- a video clip of Mario getting hit by a Spiny. If you run out of HP, then it’s GAME OVER…… not! Indeed, you cannot get a Game Over in Super Mario Odyssey. Instead of losing a life, you lose 10 coins. And if you don’t have that many coins, then, it’s truly GAME OVER!…… not. There truly isn’t any Game Over in the game, and in fact, there isn’t even any lives at all. It’s a bit like Wario Land!

- two screenshots showing the map, that you can open by pressing the – button. The map shows the area you’re in, with markers indicating your current position and your destination.
