The Super Mario Bros. series has been going on for 30 years, and since the launch of the first game, there has been a myriad of goodies based on it. More specifically, there has been many toys for Mario (and some of its spin-off series, such as Mario Kart), including some by Jakks Pacific.
But today, a rather peculiar collaboration was unearthed by Hot Wheels Collectors (on a Brasilian retailer’s website): Mattel is apparently going to release some Mario-themed Hot Wheels car this October. There’s models based on several Super Mario Bros. game (with the Super Mario Bros. 30th Anniversary Logo on it), but also Dr. Mario and Mario Kart.
Here’s a list of cars to be released in October:
- 8 Crate Delivery (Dr. Mario)
- A-OK (Mario Kart)
- Cool-One (Super Mario Bros. 2)
- Dairy Delivery (Super Mario Bros.)
- School Busted (Super Mario 3)
- Volkswagen T1 Panel Bus (Super Mario World)
And here’s some visuals for them:
