Super Bomberman R to get special Bombers based on Gradius, Castlevania, and Silent Hill characters

Earlier today, Konami released the latest update for Super Bomberman R (you can check out the full patch notes in this post, if you haven’t already!), which really improve the game (some might say it simply brings the game to the state it should have been launched in the first pace). It also adds the first bit of DLC: 4 new maps, and 2 new sets of accessories.

Naturally, this is just the beginning, and Konami is planning to release more DLC in the future (though we don’t know when the next batch will be released, and how long the company plans on supporting the game with additional content).

And earlier today, Konami announced that an upcoming batch of DLC would add some very special characters to Super Bomberman R. Indeed, some characters from other Konami series are coming to place bomb all over the place, as special Bombers:

• Vic Viper Bomber (from Gradius)
• Belmont Bomber (from Castlevania)
• Pyramid Head Bomber (from Silent Hill)

Here’s what those special bombers look like:

Right now, it’s not clear whether those characters have any special abilities/gimmicks, but even if they don’t, they will still make for pretty cool characters to play with! It would be pretty cool if Konami also added special stages based on the Gradius, Castlevania, and Silent Hill series, alongside the new characters!
