Steins;Gate Elite first-print bonus on Nintendo Switch is a Steins;Gate 8-bit game
Steins;Gate Elite is a new version of the famous Visual Novel, where you basically get to “watch” the Steins;Gate anime series as you play. White Fox, who worked on that anime series, even went and animated additional scenes, for the various routes and segments that are not covered by the anime adaptation.
It will be released on March 15th in Japan, and today, 5pb. revealed what would be the early purchase / first-print bonuses for the various versions of Steins;Gate Elite. And the one for the Nintendo Switch version is particularly neat: it’s a download code for an 8-bit game inspired by Steins;Gate, called Famicolle ADV Steins;Gate.
The game was created by Chiyomaru Shikura (original story, previously worked on the original Steins;Gate) and Hayashi Naotaka (screenplay, previously worked on ChäoS;HEAd, the original Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, and Bravely Default). The premise of that game is “What if Steins;Gate was released in the 80’s?”.
Story-wise, the game seems to follow the events of the original games… at least, the overall premise (it’s obviously not a full “demake”). The main characters from Steins;Gate appear in this game, such as:

- Kurisu Makise
- Itaru Hashida / Daru
- Moeka Kiryuu
- Luka Urushibara
- Faris Nyannyan
