Star Fox Zero: new trailer, release dates, artworks, and more

Star Fox ZeroA few weeks ago, Shigeru Miyamoto himself announced that Star Fox Zero was delayed to Q1 2016 in Europe and North America, and this Spring in Japan. It turns out that the game will eventually come out in Spring 2016 in all regions, not just Japan. During the Nintendo Direct, yesterday, it was revealed that Star Fox Zero would be released on April 21st in Japan, April 22nd in North America, and sometime in Spring in Europe.

During the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo gave various details about the game, and more precisely the various vehicles you can control:

  • Arwing: the standard vehicle that fans of the series knows well. You can do the usual backlips and summersaults;
  • Walker: a special form of the Arwing, which walks on the ground;
  • Landmaster Tank: a special tank with some mid-air abilities. You can target up to three enemies at once with it;
  • Gravmaster: a special form of the Landmaster, which can fly;
  • Gyrowing: a small flying vehicle you can use for infiltration;
  • Direct-i: a robot you can use to hack into terminals, and more. It uses the two screens;

Of course, Nintendo put the focus on the GamePad, which offers a view from the cockpit. You can actually tilt the GamePad in order to aim at enemies which are in a different direction than the one you’re flying.

Star Fox Zero (Wii U) comes out on April 21st in Japan, April 22nd in North America, and next Spring in Europe.
