Splatoon: Ranked Battle modes almost unlocked, new commercial

Back when Nintendo revealed the Ranked Battle modes, it was explained they wouldn’t available straight away at launch. In order for them to be unlocked, a sufficient amount of players would need to reach Rank 10 worldwide. And since the game’s launch in Japan, on Thursday, the Squid Research Lab has been keeping us posted regularly with the Ranked Splatometer.

Basically, the Squid Research Lab frequently updates it, and shows how close players are from unlocking the Ranked Battle modes. And it looks like the combined effect of worldwide launch + week-end did wonders for the Ranked Splatometer, which is almost full. At the rate things are going, Ranked Battle modes should be unlocked by the end of the day (or on Monday at the very latest).
