Splatoon 2 Direct announced for today

In less than month, Nintendo will release its most important post-launch game to date on the Nintendo Switch: Splatoon 2. This one is bound to be pretty popular, especially in Japan, and it will be the very game Nintendo should use to kickstart their special smartphone app for voice chat on the Nintendo Switch.

Splatoon 2 was already featured in the ARMS Direct in May, but naturally, it was only a matter of time until it got its very own presentation. According to the announcement tweet, this presentation will offer a re-FRESH-er on Splatoon 2 features. We’re most likely in for a recap of the various game modes available, the gameplay mechanics, and more.

But there’s also some aspects of the game Nintendo hasn’t mentioned yet, namely the post-launch support, the Splatfests, and more. There’s also voice chat, which is using the brand new mobile app that we still know absolutely nothing about yet.

This new Nintendo Direct presentation entirely dedicated to Splatoon 2 will take place on July 6th, at the following time:

  • Europe: 4PM
  • UK: 3PM
  • North America (EDT): 9AM
  • North America (PDT): 6AM
  • Japan: 11PM
