Soldam announced for the Nintendo Switch (eShop), available at launch in Japan

If you thought that Puyo Puyo Tetris R wasn’t enough, and that the launch line-up in Japan didn’t have enough puzzle games, here’s some good news for you! In the latest issue of Famitsu magazine, a new Nintendo Switch game was announced: Soldam ~Kaika Sengen~, which will be available at launch in Japan (on March 3rd). It’s an action-puzzle game, which is based on Soldam (an Arcade game originally released by Jaleco in 1992).

Here’s a video of the arcade version:

Soldam ~Kaika Sengen~ on the Nintendo Switch will be a complete remake, completely with new visuals, music, and game modes. There will be two characters: Ritto (a young girl), and Tam (a young boy, voiced by Takako Yamada).

Soldam ~Kaika Sengen~ was developed by City Connection, and will be released on March 3rd on the Nintendo eShop, in Japan. It will be quite pricey, too: 1 500 Yen. Also, it looks like the developers have other plans for the Nintendo Switch, and this remake of Soldman is only their first project.

Soldam ~Kaika Sengen~ (Switch – eShop) will be released on March 3rd in Japan. The list of confirmed games for the Nintendo Switch and the Upcoming Releases page have been updated!
