Snake Pass: David Wise composing the music, soundtrack teasers

Last week, Snake Pass was announced for the Nintendo Switch (click here for more details). And today, Sumo Digital sent a presssss releae to make a very sssspecial announcement: the legendary David Wise is composing the ssssoundtrack of the game!

Here’s what the man himself had to say about that:

Once I played the game and saw the captivating world Sumo created, it set my mind on fire. I immediately began composing melodies, then worked with the team to develop these and nail down the feel of the soundtrack. We’ve ended up with something that not only pays tribute to the game’s classic inspirations, but also brings something new to the table, just as the game’s mechanics do!

Seb Liese (Creator of Snake Pass) explains that Snake Pass was inspired by the classic RARE collectathon platformers on the Nintendo 64, sssso having David Wise compose the music for it was pretty much a requirement. Here’s what he had to say about that:

His sunny, tropical compositions blend perfectly with the slithery gameplay. He’s truly a composer of rare talent indeed…

Curious about David Wise’s compositions for this game? Here’s two teasers that sssshould give you a good idea of what to expect:

Snake Pass (Switch – eShop) will be released this Spring.
