Shironeko New Project: a few more details and early pictures

Back in July, Colopl made a rather unexpected move: they announced a brand new game called Shironeko New Project (tentative title), based on Shironeko Project, which is for the Nintendo Switch. A surprising move considering the company is currently in the middle of a legal battle with Nintendo due to patents. The game will be released in 2020, which is why we don’t have that many details about it.

And last weekend, during the Colopl Fes 2018, the company shared a few additional details about Shironeko New Project. Remember the giant flying whale seen in the teaser trailer? Well, it turns out it’s a flying island, and people actually live inside it. There’s various facilities to be found inside, and as you progress through the game, new ones will appear in the central section of the whale.

Two facilities are introduced:

• Guild: that’s where you can manage the various quests. You go there to receive quests, before going on an adventure;
• Weapon Shop: that’s where you can purchase weapons and armour, but also strengthen them. A staple of any RPG!
