Shantae: Half-Genie Hero: E3 2015 trailer (60fps)

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is a brand new game in the Shantae series, which is a bit different from the others. This time around, WayForward turned to fans (via Kickstarter) in order to fund this game, instead of self-funding it. It’s coming out on Wii U, but also several other platforms (including the PC).

A few hours ago, WayForward Technologies revealed a brand new trailer for the game, which was made specifically for E3 2015. It highlights some scenes from the “E3 2015 Backer Build”, which is being distributed to fans who pledged a certain amount of money during the Kickstarter campaign.

The trailer showcases some of the gorgeous environments, but also two of Shantae’s transformation: monkey and crab. If you want to see it in 60fps, make sure you pick up either the 1080p/60 or 720p/60 options on YouTube!

If you don’t quite know what Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is, you should know that it’s a 2D adventure/platformer by WayForward (who also made DuckTales Remastered). It features “lush hand-drawn animation, colorful characters, classic gameplay, rockin’ tunes, and plenty of the outlandish humor the series is known for.”

But that’s not all: thanks to the Kickstarter campaign, the game will also feature several playable characters and game modes, as well as various other bonuses.
