Shantae: Half-Genie Hero belly dances its way to the Nintendo Switch this Summer

A few weeks ago, WayForward teased some Nintendo Switch news for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, basically confirming that a port was in the works. And yesterday, the studio finally confirmed it: yes, the game is indeed coming to the Nintendo Switch, this Summer to be more precise. Full details about this Nintendo Switch version of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will be shared at a later date, but we already have a few tidbits about it.

Quite a few indies have made a big deal of HD Rumble, and it turns out that WayForward is one of those! They revealed that the game would feature no less than 150 custom-made HD Rumble events… that’s certainly a lot! Unfortunately, we don’t really know anything about those events.

And good news for players who like to buy a physical copy of all their games, even those from indie developers: Shantae: Half-Genie Hero will get a retail release, once again courtesy of XSEED (who already published the physical version of the game on Wii U). But just like the game itself, we will have to wait a little bit before getting more details (price, possible extras, etc.).

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (Switch) will be released this Summer in Europe and North America. The Upcoming Releases page has been updated!
