January 10th

Magic Seed is the name of a special item you can purchase at the Flower Shop. When you use it, it instantly grows into a plant-like creature that will help you in your adventure: they can fight by your side, allow you to move on water, and more!

Also, here’s over 3 minutes of footage for the game:

January 6th

Today, three more characters are introduced:

  • Gaius (voiced by Keisuke Koumoto in Japanese): a young male dwarf who loves ore, and the owner of the Blacksmith’s. He has little interest in the business aspect of the shop, which is why he always leaves it up to Raven;
  • Marjorie (voiced by Hisayo Yanai in Japanese): the owner of the Witch’s Cauldron, and Marian’s grandmother. Compared to her daring granddaughter, she has a much gentler and cheerful personality. She used to be a witch of great renown;
  • Carlos (voiced by Yuugo Takahashi in Japanese): the manager of Carlos’ Resort, a fishing pond. He’s Carmen older brother, and shows no mercy to anyone who messes with her.

December 27th

In order to make your daily life and adventures easier, you can craft various things via Cooking (food) and Blacksmithing (tools, weapons, etc.). But in order to craft those things, you need materials, so make sure to take the time to collect as many as you can!

December 26th

Today, two more characters are introduced:

  • Zaid (voiced by Daisuke Matsubara in Japanese) is a dwarf living in the Univir settlement. He’s rather fussy, and can prove arrogant with those he considers his inferiors.
  • Ondorus (voiced by Daisuke Matsubara in Japanese): a univir survivor who lives in the Univir settlement. Don’t be fooled by his stern appearance: he’s actually quite gentle. He bears no prejudice against humans or monsters, and refuses to take a side, preferring neutrality.

December 22nd

During your adventure, you will be able to befriend various monsters. Make sure to take good care of them, because not only will you get produce like eggs and milk in return, the monsters you raise will also help you work the field and fight enemies!

December 20th

Right next to your home, there’s a field where you can grow crops. Once you’ve harvested them, you can use them in several ways:

  • you can sell them to earn yourself some money
  • you can use them as ingredients for cooking
  • you can gift them to the residents in town

December 19th

Today, we get two more character introductions:

  • Sherman de Sainte-Coquille (voiced by Takahiro Fujimoto in Japanese): head of the Sainte-Coquille family. A big eater who spends an awful lot of time at the cafeteria. Just like his daughter, Sofia, he tends to confuse people a lot by talking in opposites.
  • Evelyn de Sainted-Coquille (voiced by Chiaki Maeda in Japanese): Sofia’s older sister and Sherman’s daughter. She runs a fancy shop from her home, where she sells clothes and furniture. She’s the only one in the family with a decent personality, but her sense of fashion is certainly… unique.

December 15th

Located deep in the Sol Terrano Desert is the Univir Settlement: a village inhabited exclusively by monsters. Said monsters strongly dislike humans, which is why they are not allowed in. Don’t forget to turn into a Wooly before entering, unless you really want to be kicked out on sight!

And here’s some more details about one of the bachelorettes: Daria!

Larger than life itself, she faces the world head-on with her eyes set on the grandest of dreams!

December 13th

In Rune Factory 3 Special, the protagonist can transform into a cute creature called “Woolly”. This allows you to see a different side of the various characters (who will react differently depending on your appearance), but also grants you an entirely different set of moves in battle.

December 12th

Today, two more characters are introduced:

  • Shino (voiced by Rie Tozuka in Japanese): Sakuya’s mother, who runs the Inn. Described as a true Yamato nadeshiko (personification of an idealized Japanese woman), and a compassionate woman. It appears she did quite a lot of things in her past… She’s good friends with Hazel, who runs the general store.
  • Hazel (voiced by Hisayo Yanai in Japanese): the owner of the general store. A lively person, who often scolds Karina, her troublesome daughter. She’s quite worried about her future.

Also, we get more details about two bachelorettes:

  • Kuruna

Her loyalty to the settlement is matched only by her hidden passion for sweets!

  • Karina

The laziest girl in town, but she can prove surprisingly clever and is plenty capable if she puts her mind to it!

Today, two more characters are introduced:

  • Wells (voiced by Yuugo Takahashi in Japanese): Shara and Monica’s grandfather, as well as the mayor of Sharance. He’s always very sweet with his granddaughters. Due to his being a craftsman, he’s a man of few words, which often causes misunderstandings.
  • Monica (voiced by Chiaki Maeda in Japanese): Shara’s little sister, and Wells’ granddaughter. She’s extremely shy. She has the tendency of glaring at people she doesn’t get along with, threatening to bite them.

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”27959″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]

November 22nd

Kuruna (voiced by Mai Nakahara in Japanese) is one of the bachelorettes, and the leader of the village of monsters (do note the horn on her head). Don’t be fooled by her appearance: she may look young, but she’s actually several hundred year old! But while she may be more mature than she looks, she does have a sweet side: she is exceedingly fond of sweets and flowers!

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”27950″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]

November 15th

Carmen (voiced by Haruka Tomotsu in Japanese) is one of the bachelorettes. She runs the fishing hut with her older brother, and so it’s hardly a surprise that she would be fond of fishing. She’s a bit of a tomboy. While she does get along with her brother, she’s rather fed up with his overprotective nature.

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”27926″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]

November 11th

Sakuya (voiced by Rouko Shintani in Japanese) is one of the bachelorettes. Along with her mother, she runs the inn. She loves to travel, which is why she buys and sells various products she finds on her trips. She does not lack in common sense, and has a strong business sense. Her personality changes radically whenever money is involved.

[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”27920″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]

November 8th

Sofia (voiced by Minori Chihara in Japanese) is one of the bachelorettes. She’s a young lady who lives in the biggest mansion in town. She is a honest but lonely person. October 26th

Karina (voiced by Shizuka Itou in Japanese) is one of the bachelorettes. She helps out at the general store ran by her mother. She’s so lazy, she even tries to talk as little as possible. Even if her mother asks her to help at the store, she just falls asleep instead of serving customers.

October 25th

Marian (voiced by Ari Ozawa in Japanese), one of the bachelorettes, is a witch and a doctor in training. She loves injections so much, she can’t help but try to give one to everyone she meets. [ngg src=”galleries” ids=”27859″ display=”basic_thumbnail”]

October 20th

Collette (voiced by Eri Kitamura in Japanese) is one of the bachelorettes, and the poster girl of Blaise’s Diner.

She has lots of admiration for her father, which probably explains why she aspires to become a chef like him. Don’t be fooled by her small stature: Collette just loves to eat, and is an uncontested champion at eating contests. She’s feels insecure about her size, as she believes it makes her look younger than she actually is.
