Rogue Flight – Ver. ???

  • Release date: TBA
  • Patch notes:

  • Additional cinematic segments have been added. Nadia’s journey through the void continues to take shape, as well the consequences that may result…
  • All boss battles have been revised to allow for additional player strategies. WingTrail attack is now more effective against boss weak points.
  • Damage to boss thrusters and engines will now cause disruption in the jetwash to allow for additional player maneuvering without penalty.

    Players will still need to mind the flames, obviously!

  • Infinite continues now available. For players who want a more contemporary approach without changing difficulty; When enabled, if a player exhausts all their lives during a run, they will have their current score reset, but can return to the current stage via the continue button in the main menu. If players disable this option, they will receive additional modulus points for restarting.
  • Added additional information to emphasize roguelite elements. You’ll see small reminders peppered throughout. And remember to use your loadout screen between stages!

     
  • Ending credits for NewGame+ updated. Worth another watch if you’ve seen it already!
  • Alternate final battle and credits music for Rogueflite+ mode. Call it the ‘Dramatic Bout’ version…
  • Various cinematic updates and improvements. IYKNK.
  • Additional tweaks and QoL updates. Basically fixes for little things that don’t really need individual mention.
  • ‘Late hits’ from the AirSpike enemy type in stage 2 have been fixed. This should ease some folks’ frustration!
  • Deployed enemies from bosses are also more likely to be destroyed when the boss begins its death throes. You should still remain on your guard, however, as the occasional straggler might get through!
  • Additional Bonus Livery added, with multiple color variations. Because why not?

Rogue Flight – Ver. ???

Enemy Variants Updated.
  • Stage 5 and Stage 7+ now include a variant of the ‘monoblade’ drone with a radial laser.
  • Stage 7+ now includes a new drone type with a peripheral laser field.
  • These enemies were in the concept stage but weren’t quite ready in time for the initial release, so have fun dodging / destroying them!
  • The “Borg” enemy types (bipedal mechs) are less bullet-spongey. This should allow players to maintain combos easier.
  • The damage area around the Stratos boss type thrusters has been decreased to be slightly more forgiving.
Tutorial Toggle Added.
  • Players could already choose to skip the tutorial via the pause menu, however due to popular demand I’ve added a toggle to disable it completely.
  • Players must of course complete the tutorial at least once before being able to shut it off.
Caravan Mode Added for Level Select.
  • Special thanks to our kindly community for suggesting this.
  • The “Caravan Mode” implements a 5 minute timer for Level Select. Enemy waves come fast, and feature the strongest enemies for that stage.
  • Playing on “Hard” or “Extreme” difficulty will net an additional score bonus!
  • Upon completing, the Caravan Score will be visible in the upper left corner of the stage select movie for each stage.
  • Disabling Caravan mode will hide the current Caravan score for that stage.
Bonus Livery 1 Added.
  • to celebrate the launch, I’ve added a new set of liveries to the livery editor, featuring 5 alternative color schemes.
Game Credits updated.
  • Game credits now include individual credits for our FIGS localizers, as well as folks who have kindly assisted with our Japanese localization.
General bug fixes and QOL updates
  • Global Rank will now be visible for steam users: We’ve crossed an important threshold so now scores will be visible in the ‘ship settings’ menu when the various sub menus are opened.
  • Fixed the Japanese “New Game +” description which was incorrect
  • Disabled windowed mode switch; this was causing serious issues with audio sync during cinematics, as Unity would not register the focus loss to all objects. As this is an engine-level bug, the only remedy here is to prevent the switch.
  • Decreased the volume of the intro movie; turns out the music was mastered at a higher volume than the rest of the game audio, so apologies to any streamers who got rocked a little harder than intended!

How to download updates for Rogue Fight for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Rogue Fight, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
