Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Shiny Poipole distribution
Today, another Pokémon distribution for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon was announced, and it’s not related to the ongoing Year of Legendary Pokémon celebrations. In order to celebrate the release of the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game set, Dragon Majesty (out today), a Shiny Poipole will be distributed starting later this month.
From September 17th to October 7th (United States) / October 15th (Europe), players will be able to a Serial Code for the precious Pokémon from the following places:
- United States: participating GameStop stores
- United Kingdom: participating Smyths stores
- Europe: Trainer Club newsletter
Here’s details about the Pokémon:
- Level: 40
- Moves: Venom Drench, Nasty Plot, Poison Jab, Dragon Pulse

The latest Gym Cup event is the Dragon Gym Cup, and it went live today. Here’s all you need to know about it:
- Runs from September 6th to September 10th
- Dragon-type Movement 0, 1, and 2 figures = +1 Movement;
- Ice-type figures = +20 Attack (for each attack);
- Gym Boosters available, with the contents increasing with your winning streak.
- Alolan Grimer and Goodra figures available as rewards
- Trophies will be distributed to qualifying players after the event.

Today, the latest Official Group Match for Pokkén Tournament DX went live. Here’s all you need to know about it:
- Name: Shadow Drop Cup
- Type: Basic Battle, Fixed Battle Arena
- Runs from September 7th to September 9th
- Time: 3AM PT to 7PM PT / 6AM ET to 10PM ET / 5AM GMT to 9PM GMT / 6AM CET to 10AM CET / 6AM JST to 10PM JST

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon – Battle Competition
Yesterday, registrations for the latest Battle Competition for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon went live. It’s called the World Championships Friendly, and here’s all you need to know about it:
- Pokémon allowed: all Pokémon from National Pokédex (No. 001 to 807). Legendary Pokémon allowed (Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma), but only up to 2 per team. Black clover symbol mandatory;
- Pokémon banned: Ash-Greninja and Mythical Pokémon; no duplicate Pokémon allowed;
- Battles: Double Battles, 4 Pokémon out of 6 sent to battle;
- Level: 50 (lowered if above that);
- Items: no duplicate items allowed;
- Participation prize: 50 Battle Points (need to take part in at least 1 battle)
- Registration: September 6th to September 13th
- Battles: September 14th to September 16th
- Results announced sometime in October
