Pokémon GO
The release of Pokémon GO has had a pretty positive impact on sales of not just Pokémon games on Nintendo 3DS, but also on Nintendo 3DS Hardware. In a statement sent to Bloomberg, Yasuhiro Minagawa (spokesman for Nintendo Co., Ltd.) explained that this was the case on a global scale, not just in select countries:
It is true that since Pokemon Go’s release, interest in Pokemon has risen and sales of related games have risen globally. The mood has become positive ahead of the November launch.
Naturally, the renewed interest in the Pokémon series (which already was pretty high) will lead to higher sales for Pokémon Sun and Moon: that’s certainly what Hirotoshi Murakami (analyst at Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co.) expects. He also estimates that Pokémon Sun and Moon will amount for 31 percent of Nintendo’s gross profit this fiscal year (as opposed to 4.8% for smartphone games).

Arceus distribution
Yesterday, the latest Mythical Pokémon distribution began. This month, it’s Arceus that players can get for both Pokémon X and Y and Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire (click here to find out how/where!). Here’s a trailer for this distribution:
Pokémon movies
In Japan, just like in the rest of the world, the release of Pokémon GO has led to renewed interest for the Pokémon series.
And it looks like the kids TV channel Kids Station is jumping on the Pokémon bandwagon: it’s going to re-broadcast the first 18 Pokémon movies (the two versions of the first movie for Black and White are counted as separate movies), from August 6th to August 23rd. Then in September, they will air Hoopa and the Clash of Ages.
