Pokémon GO – Legendary Week
As part of the “Legendary Year” promotion for Pokémon, Pokémon GO is having a Legendary Week from February 23rd (today) to March 5th. During that week, Kyogre and Groudon are returning to Raid Battles, alongside Rayquaza. If you didn’t get the opportunity to get them before, now is your chance, as we don’t know when they will be available next after that.
Also, there’s neat little twist this time around: depending on the Pokémon that’s caught the most during that Legendary Week, Pokémon that prefer a certain type of weather will be more likely to hatch from Eggs from March 5th to March 16th:
- Rayquaza: Pokémon that prefer windy weather
- Groudon: Pokémon that prefer sunny weather
- Kyogre: Pokémon that prefer rainy weather
But that’s not all: special boxes including Raid Passes will be available in the in-game store from February 24th (tomorrow).

Pokémon GO – Special Raid Battle (Japan)
Starting next week, players in Japan will be able to take part in special Raid Battle in Japan, as part of the Team Rain Rocket promotion at Pokémon Center stores. From February 26th (Monday) to March 11th, players will be able to tackle Giovanni’s Nidoking every 90mn from 4PM (weekdays) / 11AM on week-ends.
Naturally, that Nidoking is stronger than the usual one found in regular Raid Battles. Players who manage to defeat this Pokémon will get a special sticker.
