Pokémon 20th Anniversary: new events, Pokémon Photo Booth app available (iOS)

Announced a couple of weeks ago at the same time as plans for the Pokémon 20th Anniversary, Pokémon Photo Booth is an app on iOS and Android. It lets you customise your portraits, and add captions in the style of classic Pokémon games. Once you’re done, you can your photos via social media sites, or create Pokémon-themed avatars.

The app is now available on iOS, and will be launched on Android within the next few days.

Today, The Pokémon Company announced some two more events for Pokémon Day (February 20th):

  • a livestream on the official Twitch channel of The Pokémon Company. It will kick off at 10AM ET / 7AM PT / 4PM CET / 3PM GMT / 12AM JST (February 28th) with Pokémon discussion, gameplay, interviews, and other Pokémon coverage. After that, from 6PM ET / 3PM PT / 12AM CET (February 28th) / 11PM GMT / 8AM JST (February 28th), there will be a massive 24-hour animation marathon with movies, favorite episodes, and animation specials.
  • players who log in to the Pokémon TCG Online will get a set of Pokémon 20th commemorative card sleeves.
