Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V Episode 6 (Grand Voyage!)

In order to promote Paper Mario: Color Splash, which comes out in less than two weeks in Europe, North America (with Japan the following week), Nintendo launched a video series a few weeks ago. Called Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V, the videos are spoofs of super heroes TV series, such as Power Rangers. Rescue V is the name of a pretty real super hero team that appears in the game.

The 6th episode, called “Grand Voyage! The Foggy Purple Sea”, starts with Mario at a port. It turns out he’s going to travel on the Lost Sea with a band of pirates, in order to reach Fortune Island. He’s going there in order to find a legendary treasure.

Naturally, reaching the island will not be that easy. After all, the Lost Sea is a dangerous place, with various enemies roaming the place (including a giant Blooper). You can use your canon to shoot at them and defeat them, but also to hit coins and cards in order to collect them.

On the sea, there’s also mysterious spots to “check out” with your canon balls, such as a mysterious rocks that looks like a Toad. And what to do in the dark, where the path is virtually invisible? Use your paint hammer to show the way!

Finally, we see Mario finally arriving at Fortune Island (easily recognisable with the giant skull that can be found there). He quickly finds a treasure chest with… the Rescue Squad inside!

Here’s the 6th episode of Paper Mario: Color Splash – Rescue V: “Grand Voyage! The Foggy Purple Sea”:

The next episode, the final one, is called “Swear Upon the Orange Sun, Rescue V Will Never Die”, and will most likely be uploaded next week.

Paper Mario: Color Splash (Wii U) comes out on October 7th in Europe and North America, and October 13th in Japan.
