  • An extended moveset
  • Extended levels with new sections, lore parts and challenges (game is longer now)
  • A new enemy: The Swarm
  • New accessibility feature (ease up the difficulty, available through the options)

  • New level segments with new narrative bits

  • 5 new phoenix statues
  • Improved combat feedback (main character and bosses)
  • New dialogs
  • New reading animation for letters and scrolls
  • Improved sound effects for the main character
  • UI improvements
  • New dagger reflect tutorial
  • Difficulty tweaks (Boss fights have been reworked)
  • Level design tweaks (Removed some doors that prevented backtracking)
  • Provides major improvements to Nintendo Switch version (reduced loading times, lower input lag, etc.)

How to download updates for Nocturnal for the Nintendo Switch?

To download the updates for Nocturnal, you have three options:

  • let the console do its thing if you have automatic downloads activated, and didn’t completely turn it off

If not…

  • try to launch the game from the Home Menu while being connected to the internet. You should get a prompt when doing so: simply follow the instructions on screen;

OR

  • select the game > press either + or – to go to the Options page > select Software update > select Via the Internet.

To check that you have the latest version installed, simply select the game on the Home Menu, and press – or + to go to the Options: the version number is displayed just below the game title.
