Nintendo Switch: Tantalus / Straight Right (Twilight Princess HD) working on some titles

Ever since the reveal of the Nintendo Switch, back in October, many developers / studios have confirmed they were working on Nintendo’s next gen platform. And the latest one to do so is Straight Right / Tantalus, who has worked on several games for the Wii U. The most famous is obviously The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, released to critical acclaim back in March.

In an interview with Maxi-Geek, Tom Crago (CEO) revealed that his company was indeed working on some games for the Nintendo Switch. Obviously, he didn’t tell us which ones, just that we would get some news “soon”… most likely during (or right after) the Nintendo Switch Presentation on January 12th/13th:

I can confirm that we’re working on Switch, and have been for some time. Our titles haven’t been announced as yet, but keep an eye out for more news soon.

Tom Fargo also mentions their relationship with Nintendo, which is “stronger than ever” following the successful release of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. Does that mean they are currently working on another port/remaster for Nintendo? We will have to wait before find that out…

We’ve always worked on Nintendo platforms and now of course after Twilight Princess HD our relationship with Nintendo is stronger than ever. I expect fans will look back through Nintendo’s catalogue and think about which titles they’d like us to bring to Switch. Everyone should feel free to make suggestions on our FaceBook page ;)

In the interview, Tom Fargo also talks about their reaction to the Nintendo Switch reveal, but also what they find exciting about the platform. In particular, he mentions the following:

Nintendo have done well in terms of creating a development environment that’s friendly and systematic.
